How it Works

 

How it works in layman terms: The MaxPro-5000™ measures fluid level in real time. The unit sends a conditioned signal down the annulus which in turn is picked up by a set of sensors. These sensors pick up the return signal as it returns from the surface of the fluid. The electronics within the FLM calculates the depth from surface and then sends the determined depth to the display on the VFD or on the FLM display.

MaxPro-5000™ : A Stand-alone MaxPro-5000™ measures fluid level and displays the fluid level on a LCD screen at the MaxPro-5000™ unit itself.

Communications: Through the 4-20mA communication
connection, the MaxPro-5000™ can send the fluid level depth directly to a VFD. Various brands of VFDs available on the market can be supported through the MaxPro-5000™. The same 4-20mA connection can be used to integrate the MaxPro-5000™ with SCADA systems.

Automatic Control: The operator can set up the VFD to automatically select and hold a desired fluid level. The setup is performed on a computer generated pull down list (in Advanced Params > Control Params) on the VFD. After proper setup the pump motor speed automatically adjusts to maintain the pre-set fluid level.

History Files: The operator can graph and compare the fluid levels with numerous other parameters that effect the efficiency of production. This unparallel wealth of information can be used to fine tune a well in order to increase production revenues and decrease maintenance costs.
